3D Printing
3D printing a process of making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file. The creation of a 3D printed object is achieved using additive processes. In an additive process an object is created by laying down successive layers of material until the object is created.
Usually we use SLA or SLS to produce what we need.
• SLA refers to Stereolithography and this is a resin-based 3D printing technique. The printing takes place with the help of Ultraviolet light which influences the liquid resin and cures it into a solid layer as desired.
• SLS refers to Selective Laser Sintering and this is a 3D printing technique which uses powdered printing materials to create the 3D objects instead of resins. Similar to SLA, this process too uses a laser to facilitate the 3D printing process.
